Small museums and historic societies do not always possess the resources to engage conservators or costume specialists, but a new solution is here to meet your specific exhibit concerns--an archival mannequin that is versatile, cost-effective, and customizable in the hands of collections professionals.
Developed by Camille Myers Breeze of Museum Textile Services and Katrina Heron Gendreau of KHG Arts, this revolutionary mounting system is designed to allow you to safely display costume of all shapes and sizes.
The line includes low-profile mounts for hanging display of men’s and women’s clothing, as well as busts for free-standing or table-top exhibition. Bases are sold separately. Also available for purchase is a kit with a how-to booklet and archival padding materials for customizing a form. Prices start at just $150.
Our custom manikin system will be available fall 2015
exclusively through University Products.
